A bla day

Today was one of those days where I just stayed in my PJ's all day and didn't take a shower till 5:30. I did finish a cart cover, that i have been procrastinating all week so that's one think I did accomplish. David thinks he has a little bug, so hes been on the couch all afternoon. And miss Madison just didn't want to nap very well today so guess where she is at 6pm, still taking her nap! Her sleep schedule has not been very good this week. Mostly with the night time, waking up at 2,4,6, and 7:30! When will this END!?!?!? Some nights she does great and doesn't wake up once and sleeps till 8AM.
Madison is now 10 months old, as of yesterday so here are some pictures of her.

Where you will find her most of the time while in the kitchen

4 Steps

my little girl took 4 steps tonight! Now I'm just wondering how long it will be before she is walking?!?! So exciting! :)

Yummmmy Meatballs

Ok so when I find something new that's good and easy to make, i think all my friends should know how to make it too so here you are:)

* 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
* 1 1/4 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
* 1 egg, beaten
* 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
* 1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
* 1 (14.25 ounce) can tomato puree

(I didn't use the tomato puree because it was for sandwiches. I also added pizza seasoning and some crushed red peppers and a extra clove of garlic. I baked the meatballs for 20 mins at 350 so they would keep their shape. It wont take as long to cook in the crock pot either.) Enjoy!

DIRECTIONS

1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, and egg. Shape the mixture into 16 meatballs.
2. In a slow cooker, mix the spaghetti sauce, crushed tomatoes, and tomato puree. Place the meatballs into the sauce mixture. Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

Potatoe soup

I just made this wonderful soup, and thought I would share it with all of you. It was super easy too! It tasted like something I would order right off a menue :)

* 3 1/2 cups peeled and diced potatoes
* 1/3 cup diced celery
* 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
* 3/4 cup diced cooked ham
* 3 1/4 cups water
* 2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
* 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
* 1 teaspoon ground white or black pepper, or to taste
* 5 tablespoons butter
* 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 cups milk
2 cups heavey wipping cream (I added this to the recipe)

DIRECTIONS

1. Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham and water in a stockpot. Bring to a boil, then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in the chicken bouillon, salt and pepper.
2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour with a fork, and cook, stirring constantly until thick, about 1 minute. Slowly stir in milk as not to allow lumps to form until all of the milk has been added. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until thick, 4 to 5 minutes.
3. Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot, and cook soup until heated through. Serve immediately.

Finally a new color

Well it all started with home depo having their paint sale that ended on MOnday. We figured we should buy it now and wince the weather has been so great we should just get started! So we started painting on Tuesday. It was a beautiful day, so David preped the house and i put the babies to bed and we started. It only took us 1 1/2 hrs to get the first layer on the front, and yes we were rolling. So we figured we would finish the rest of it yesterday. Well little did we know there was rain in the for cast. It only sprinkled a tiny bit, so it was still a ok day to paint. The hardest part was keeping Madison entertained, and then getting most of my work done while she napped. Anyways, we still have the back of the house and the eaves to paint, but the font is all done! I love it, if you knew what it looked like before, it is a big difference :)

Fun day

Today was such a fun day! Davids sister came up and we actually went to church. Then I went with Renae to take a family shoot! It was so fun to so how all the pictures turned out as we edited them later tonight. I am so impressed with photo shop and cant wait to learn how to use it. I am starting to save for my own camera right now, but in the mean time learning with Renae on how everything works, and learning how to pose people, and capture the moment. I will post some pictures once I get them some from Renae so you can see how they turned out!

Thanks Renae for showing me some photo shop!
